RANKING ARRANGEMENT REASONING SHORT CUT TRICK

RANKING ARRANGEMENT are mandatory part of SSC IBPS or other competitive exam format covers 3-5 questions in exam which are very easy to solve and boost the score in exam to maximum by using SIMPLE TABLE RULES. It helps into getting position in cut-off marks in exam results.

SIMPLE TABLE RULES are very easy to remember and 100% reliable & accurate method to solve 3-5 questions of RANKING ARRANGEMENT within 2-3 seconds. Use these rules to crack reasoning in SSC IBPS and other competitive exams.

SIMPLE TABLE RULES are described as follows:

RULE 1:
Read the statement line by line and draw the diagram as per question statement provided.
RULE 2:
Take your Left Hand Side for LEFT RANK (LR) and Right Hand Side for RIGHT RANK (RR).
RULE 3:
Use the following Simple Tables 1 shown below.
FOR SIMPLE STATEMENTS
LR-RR-1= TOTAL NO. OF PERSONS
FOR BETWEEN BOTH STATEMENTS
LR+RR+BB=TOTAL NO. OF PERSONS
FOR DOUBLE COUNT STATEMENTS (Special Case-Exchange of Positions/Overlap)
LR+RR-DC= TOTAL NO. OF PERSONS
Where LR= Left Rank of a person, RR= Right Rank of a person, BB= Between Both of any two persons, DC= Double Count of any two persons
In Special Case or Exchange of Positions:
This rules applies when LR+RR> Total No. of Persons, Then double count case will be appeared.
Question 1:
Anil ranks twenty in a class of 50 students. What is his rank from the last?
Solution: By using Simple Table Rules:
1.      Read the statement line by line and draw the diagram same as shown below:
!----------------------------à20
LEFT-----------------------Anil----------------------------RIGHT
                                    ß------------------?-----------------!
!ß -------------------------------Total = 50-----------------------à!
2.      Now from the above diagram,
LEFT RANK = LR = 20
TOTAL NO. OF STUDENTS = 50
3.      Using Simple Table 1
LR-RR-1= TOTAL NO. OF PERSONS/STUDENTS………..(i)
Putting all the above values into (i)
20-RR-1 = 50
RR= 50-20+1 = 31
Thus the rank of Anil from the last is 31.
Question 2:
In the row of boys Anil rank is 13th from the left and Dinesh is 17th from the right from a total of 50 students. How many students are sitting in between both Anil and Dinesh?

1.      Read the statement line by line and draw the diagram same as shown below:
!----------------------------à13
LEFT-----------------------Anil----------------------------RIGHT
LEFT-------------------------------------Dinesh-----------RIGHT
                                    !ß----?----à! 17ß-------------------!
!------------------------------Total = 50-------------------------!
2.      Now from the above diagram,
LEFT RANK of Anil = LR = 13
RIGHT RANK of Dinesh = RR = 17
TOTAL NO. OF STUDENTS = 50
3.      Using Simple Table 1
LR+RR+BB= TOTAL NO. OF PERSONS/STUDENTS………..(i)
Putting all the above values into (i)
17+20+ BB = 50
BB= 50-37 = 13
Thus the no. of students sitting between Anil and Dinesh are 31.
Case 3: Overlap Case will be discussed later (may be one or two days). So keep reading and do practice to make your preparation perfect for all types of competitive exams.
